The Ridgway Sustainability Advisory Board, EcoAction Partners, CLEER, and SMPA are hosting an Electric Vehicle (EV) Ride and Drive on August 10, 2024 at the Ridgway Railroad Museum Parking Lot from 0930-1230. An EV Ride and Drive is a community event where attendees can learn about electric vehicles, their charging infrastructure, the benefits of driving electric, and available incentives to adopt them. Plus, they can check out a variety of EVs, ask questions to their owners, and potentially test drive EVs. At our event, you will also be able to check-out our great outdoor train museum and take free train rides! Please join us!

We will strive to have a variety of EVs and PHEVs (Plug-In Hybrid Electric Vehicles) for you to see. If you hope to ride in or drive an EV/PHEV, you will need to present your drivers license and sign a waiver. Come talk to EV owners about their experiences and get your questions answered. Hope you can attend!!

We'd love for you to participate in this event by showcasing your EV and telling your experience to our community. People are curious about EVs and eager to learn from their neighbors! It's not necessary for you to allow people to ride or drive your car, there will be EVs from dealerships for test drives.

We will have information on EV rebates and tax incentives - and this link takes you to our EV rebates page under the above "Electrification" header.
