Residents of Ouray County can access various federal, state, and local incentives for buying an EV, electric bike, or making clean energy and efficiency upgrades to their homes. Below are resources to help save you money on your home and electric bicycle and/or vehicle.

- for example, SMPA offers $30/kilowatt rebate for Controlled Off-Peak Electric Thermal Storage*
- Clothes dryer
- for example, SMPA offers a $180 rebate for ENERGY STAR-certified Hybrid Heat Pump Dryer
- Cooking stove
- for example: SMPA offers a $450 rebate for induction cooktop/rape
- Electric transportation
- for example: SMPA offers a $150 rebate for electric bicycles

- for example: SMPA offers up to a $500 rebate for non-riding Lawn Mower (36 Volt minimum or corded)
- Solar
- for example: SMPA offers up to $300 available for rooftop solar
- for example: the federal government offers a 30% tax credit for rooftop solar
- Water heater
- for example: SMPA offers a $700 rebate for an ENERGY STAR-certified Air Source Heat Pump Water
- for example: The State of Colorado offers a 13% discount on the equipment price of heat pump water heaters
- for example: the federal government offers up to $2,000 for heat pumps and heat pump water heaters
- Weatherization
- for example: the federal government offers a tax credit up to $1,200 for weatherization projects including insulation, air sealing, doors, and windows

Clean Energy Financing
Aside from rebates and tax incentives, Ouray county homeowners are also eligible for low interest financing through the Colorado Renewable Energy Upgrade Loan (RENU) program. The RENU Loan is a statewide residential loan program sponsored by the Collective Clean Energy Fund in partnership with Colorado-based credit unions.
